You are in emotional, maybe even physical, pain. You feel "off", or just not yourself. A lack of rhythm, balance and boundaries creates discomfort. We will work together to embody rhythm and balance, where the spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual parts of life create a more comfortable and harmonious whole.
Come gain some insight into your thoughts, emotions and behaviours in order to increase your sense of well-being, and improve your relationships with yourself, others, the environment, and God.
We will pay close attention to the information your body gives us, and work at regulating the intense emotions through awareness, inquiry, interventions, and reflections. You will master concrete and practical skills, strategies and techniques to keep you on your path to health and happiness.
I have studied, and incorporate into my practice theory and approaches such as: Somatic Transformation, Dialectial Behaviour Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Attachment theory, Family Systems, Developmental and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I also integrate neurofeedback into my practice to re-establish our connection to the body's wisdom, and remind the mind how to self-heal.
I chose to leave teaching, and Ontario, behind to move to Victoria in 2000. I am so blessed to raise my family here.
I still nurture my passion for education and relationships through my continuing professional development. I am always learning something new.
I live and work in the Differently-Abled Community. After completing my Masters degree from City University in 2009, I joined the multi-disciplinary Community Response Team for adults with developmental disabilities supported by CLBC. I serve on this team part time, and you can find more information and access the separate referral system by clicking below.
I know the first step is difficult. Let's talk.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We will highlight your resilience, help you overcome these symptoms, and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counselling can be beneficial to couples and families who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of life. Therapy is a supportive place to discuss issues and collaboratively find solutions. Our work focuses on healthy communication as each individual acts as an ally and witness for the other.

- Neurofeedback
Build your confidence and competence in your clinical practice.
I am certified by the BCACC to provide Supervision. This is an imposed relationship where the Supervisor is legally responsible for the work of the counsellor Supervisee. There is an obligation for the Supervisee to follow direction of the Supervisor.
This is a collaborative look at issues such as ethics, integration of theory and practice, reducing counsellor isolation and the collegial development of fresh perspectives to get "unstuck" in your work with clients.
Please connect with me to learn more about my Supervision and Consultation services.
Neurofeedback provides your brain the right information to remind itself of its wisdom and healing power.
Neurofeedback "re-wires" your brain so that it can better address dysregulation, which is at the core of all symptom constellations like: ADHD, Autism, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma/PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, sleep disorders and stress management. It also can help athletes mentally reach peak performance conditions.
NeurOptimal is a gentle, 100% non-invasive training system which is appropriate for all ages, abilities, and types of emotional suffering.
NeurOptimal assists the brain and central nervous system to make the best use of your inherent ability to re-organize and optimize your brain's activity. The results are a more regulated nervous system, or a larger window of tolerance for life's bumps in the road.
Your brain's ever-changing activities are tracked with sensors, as you take in visual and/or audio stimuli. This information is used by specially designed software to present a choice to your unconscious self through subtle changes in the stimuli: stay the same, or move towards health. Instinctively, we always move towards health.
Neurofeedback is effective on its own, and is also a fantastic compliment to traditional talk therapy.
